Good things in food and drink come from Cornwall, but also some unusual things, as in the case of this IPA.

The ale has a pale red colour, with rich hoppy aromas. It has  passion fruit taste, with a malt sweetness The initial taste is followed by a  citrus grapefruit bitterness, typical of the use of new American hops. The hops impart the tropical fruit and citrus bitterness, typical of the American and British craft beer sector and the American Pale Ale style.

Cornish Crown Brewery is a small batch craft brewery based near Penzance, Cornwall.

This ale is a darker chestnut ale with a plum fruit and malt aroma. The taste hints of sweet plum and chocolate bitter.

A good winter ale with tastes of dark heavy fruits and chocolate.
Moorhouse’s Brewery was established in 1865 in Burnley, Lancashire. This ale is not listed in their range, which is quite extensive. Being not too far from Pendle most of their brews have names alluding to the ‘Pendle Witches’.

This is a chestnut coloured ale, with a malt aroma. The taste is sweet with good malty notes.
An excellent ale and session beer, with a lighter bitter finish.
A really good English ale. 5*
Tintagel Brewery is a microbrewery in north Cornwall, near the town of Tintagel and its famous Tintagel Castle, allegedly the castle of King Arthur!
The beers from this brewery needless to say have Arthurian names!

This is a chestnut red coloured ale with good malt aromas. It has a rich toasted malt taste with toffee sweetness notes and a following hop bitter finish.

Otter Brewery is based near Honiton in the Blackdown Hills in east Devon. Named after the local river bank mammals in the area!
