This is a black coloured ale, with a strong toasted and smokey toffee malt aroma. It has a smokey sweet taste running on to a black malt and hop bitterness, leaving a bitter finish.

An excellent stout ale without the excessive bitterness of the Irish Stout style.

This is a black strong ale, with a deep fresh hop aroma.
It has a dry strongly hopped taste, with hints of black coffee and a lasting hop bitterness.This is a strongly hopped IPA and becomes another of the growing number of Black IPA beers.

Good things in food and drink come from Cornwall, but also some unusual things, as in the case of this IPA.

The ale has a pale red colour, with rich hoppy aromas. It has  passion fruit taste, with a malt sweetness The initial taste is followed by a  citrus grapefruit bitterness, typical of the use of new American hops. The hops impart the tropical fruit and citrus bitterness, typical of the American and British craft beer sector and the American Pale Ale style.

Cornish Crown Brewery is a small batch craft brewery based near Penzance, Cornwall.

This is a chestnut coloured ale, with a malt aroma. The taste is sweet with good malty notes.
An excellent ale and session beer, with a lighter bitter finish.
A really good English ale. 5*
Tintagel Brewery is a microbrewery in north Cornwall, near the town of Tintagel and its famous Tintagel Castle, allegedly the castle of King Arthur!
The beers from this brewery needless to say have Arthurian names!

This is a pale golden ale with a grapefruit aroma. It has the grapefruit bitter taste, predominant from the use of American Hops, with peach notes.

An interesting summer ale from Cornwall if you like the APA craft beers.
Harbour Brewing is based in Trekillick, Kirland, close to the town of Bodmin.

Lizard Ales – An Gof 5.2% Strong Cornish Ale
This is Lizard Ales strong Cornish Ale. Copper in colour, with aromas of roast and toasted malts and deep notes of English hops. It has a toasted malt taste with hop bitterness, reminiscent of strong black coffee. Similar in style to a porter ale but with more bitterness and less sweetness, tending to a dryer taste.
This ale is brewed with smoked malt.

The ale celebrates the blacksmith of St Kerverne, who led the Cornish Rebellion in 1497 against Henry VII’s taxes. he was subsequently hanged at Tyburn.
